About Mr. Shirt

Mr Shirt is a minority owned business that was founded in 2008 by Dominican immigrant Jose Moran. He built the company himself from the ground up and today is still the proud owner of a thriving laundry service. Mr Shirt is a NYC based business that is dedicated to serving and providing quality uniforms and linens to the business that keep NYC running.

As partners, we strive for honesty and clarity. Our first job is to understand the client’s vision and needs, not to present our own. We value timeliness, direct communication and prototypes over presentations, as well as the occasional face-to-face meeting over a drink or a meal.

Over the years, we have been fortunate to collaborate with some excellent clients on some wonderful projects, but we believe it is still too early to weigh in on the success of the work. A building exists in time and its usefulness is directly related to how well it continues to perform.

We are proud of our Danish home and heritage, but do not consider ourselves exponents of Danish design. National style has no place in architecture, where a building must first and foremost be suited to local needs.

Jose Moran

Originally from the Dominican Republic, Jose came to the United States to begin a new chapter in his life. He made a family and then founded Mr. Shirt so that he’d have something to pass on to his son in the future. He constantly nurtured his company which led to a constant uphill growth that has led the company to where we are today.
